Ayesha Youth Project proudly hosted the Ummah Unity Cup on December 10th, 2023, at the Newham Powerleague, bringing together 8 dynamic teams from 5 different East London boroughs for a day of spirited football competition.
The participating teams, including Manor FC, Manor FC U21, Shade FC, Shade FC B, Ikhwa Love, Halal FC, 7 A Side Men, and Ilford Lads, showcased exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
As the competition intensified, the semi-finals saw Manor FC facing off against 7 A Side Men, with Manor FC emerging victorious in a 3-1 triumph. On the other side, Ikhwa Love went head-to-head with Ilford Lads, securing a 5-2 victory, earning their spot in the final.
The grand finale featured a tightly contested match between Manor FC and Ikhwa Love FC. In a thrilling showdown, Manor FC held on to secure a narrow 3-2 victory, claiming the coveted Ummah Unity Cup.
The event was not only a celebration of football talent but also a testament to the unity and camaraderie that these teams brought to the pitch.
