The Ayesha Youth Project hosted a heartwarming community charity BBQ event on Romford Road, Manor Park. The two-day event, held on Friday, 21st July 2023, and Saturday, 22nd July 2023, brought together the local community in a spirit of camaraderie and support for the organisation's noble cause.
The Ayesha Youth Project, which is in the process of registering as a charity, operates a range of essential services for young people in the area. These services include Employability Skills Workshops, Anti-Knife Crime Workshops, Drug Awareness Workshops, 1-2-1 mentoring support, and an empowering Youth Forum led by young people themselves.
The BBQ event aimed not only to raise funds for these vital programmes but also to foster a sense of togetherness within the community. And it certainly achieved its goal. With a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, the event saw an incredible turnout of locals and visitors, all joining in the celebration while indulging in mouthwatering food.
The heartening response from the community and the generous contributions of attendees resulted in an astonishing £3000 being raised during the event. These funds will go a long way in bolstering the Ayesha Youth Project's efforts to continue providing valuable support and guidance to young individuals in the area.
