OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES 

At the Ayesha Youth Project, our organisation is driven by a set of clear and impactful aims and objectives. We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people aged 12-21 in memory of Ayesha.

 

Empowerment: Our primary objective is to empower young people by equipping them with essential life skills, knowledge, and support to navigate challenges and thrive in today's society. We aim to build their self-confidence, resilience, and personal development, enabling them to fulfill their potential.

Education and Employability: We strive to enhance educational opportunities for young people by providing employability skills workshops. These workshops will focus on developing key skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, to increase their prospects for employment and career success.

Crime Prevention and Safety: Through our anti-knife crime workshops, we aim to raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of knife crime and provide strategies for conflict resolution and violence prevention. We are dedicated to promoting a safer environment for young people in Newham, reducing the risks associated with knife-related incidents.

Drug Awareness and Prevention: Our drug awareness workshops aim to educate young people about the harmful effects of substance abuse, the risks associated with drug use, and strategies for making informed choices. We strive to equip young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to resist peer pressure and make healthy decisions regarding substance use.

Mentoring and Support: We offer 1-2-1 mentoring support to young people, providing a confidential and nurturing space for them to discuss their challenges, aspirations, and personal goals. Our mentors are committed to providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support to help young people overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.

OUR SERVICES

Employability Skills Workshops 

A training programme and a series of sessions designed to enhance the employability skills of young people in Newham, particularly young people who are preparing to enter the workforce or seeking employment opportunities.

Anti Knife Crime Workshops 

A programme designed to raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of knife crime, Our workshops aim to educate the youth about the risks associated with carrying and using knives, the legal consequences, and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities. The workshops cover conflict resolution strategies, anger management, and alternatives to violence.

Drug Awareness Workshops

A programme and a number of sessions aimed at educating individuals from the community, particularly young people, about the risks and consequences associated with drug use. These workshops provide information about various drugs, their effects on physical and mental health, the potential legal implications, and strategies for prevention and intervention.

Football/Sports Projects (in partnerships with Manor Youth Project) 

Our football projects are run in partnerships with Manor Youth Project an organisation under our umbrella. Football plays a crucial role in positively impacting young people from deprived communities in several ways including helping their physical and mental well being, skill development, social interactions and discipline.

1-2-1 Mentoring, Support and Counselling 

Our 1-2-1 mentoring support programme helps young people aged between 11-21 with their personal development, academic progress and achievement, emotional support, improved skill and communication skills, and motivation.
 

HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS

At Ayesha Youth Project, we are not only dedicated to serving the young people in our local community but also committed to making a positive impact in third world countries through our humanitarian projects. Inspired by Ayesha's dream to help poor and vulnerable orphans around the world, we strive to continue her legacy by extending our reach beyond Newham.
